A highlight is the AI-driven ENGEL spare parts app (Image 1), which simplifies the replacement and maintenance of machine parts. Users can take a photo of the required part with their smartphone.
The app searches a comprehensive database of over 70,000 entries and identifies the correct part, even if it is installed or dirty. This solution significantly reduces downtime and improves maintenance efficiency by enabling quick and accurate spare part identification.

ENGEL expands its digital offerings: in addition to integration into ENGEL controls, the iQ process observer will now be accessible via the e-connect customer portal in the office or remotely (Image 2). The iQ process observer utilises innovative visualisation of the entire injection moulding process and AI-driven expertise to detect deviations early, reduce scrap, and sustainably increase production efficiency.
The intuitive, easy-to-read visualisation allows users to spot process deviations at a glance. The optimised display, with a global timeline, provides a clear overview of production process stability and helps identify problems and their causes. Anomalies are highlighted instantly, and users receive automatic AI-based optimisation suggestions in the form of simple action recommendations that can be immediately implemented. This saves working hours and minimises downtime.
With expanded access through the e-connect customer portal, remote analysis of the production process can now be conducted, further saving resources and reducing production strain. Additionally, integrating relevant setpoint changes and their effects on the process provides a data-driven basis for quick and informed decisions.
